My name is Katarina Boskovic, and I typically go by my nickname most of the time: Katya. I am currently completing a master's degree in Global Strategic Communication at Loyola University Chicago. Welcome!

Fashion Public Relations Intern, Vegan Fashion Week, Remote               

August 2022-December 2022

  • Researched and contacted 100+ influencers for the VFW Ambassador Program with continued email communication surrounding deliverables and inquiries received 

  • Researched 600+ contacts including brands, public figures, designers, makeup artists, journalists, influencers, and model applications and entered descriptive information into a designated database spreadsheet 

  • Drafted 200+  pitch templates and emails to promote and contact brands, models, publications, influencers, 

and universities 

 

Social Media/Marketing and Public Relations Intern, South Open Dancesport Championships, Remote

June 2021-August 2021

  • Wrote 50 pitches and edited 150 pitches to potential vendor companies/searched for vendors and contacts

  • Wrote 10 blogs and completed research of features of a specific social media (Instagram) and region (Florida) in the U.S.

  • Communicated via Slack with fellow interns and internship coordinator and worked on social media planning for multiple platforms (Instagram and TikTok) 

 

RELEVANT COURSEWORK 

Strategic Communication Research Methods, MS                                             

January 2024-April 2024

  • Researched a correlation between TikTok screen time and self-esteem with two fellow students

  • Wrote a research proposal with a literature review, qualitative report, quantitative report, and a final report and presented the findings to the professor and students in the course 

  • Interviewed nine total participants and surveyed 62 participants with fellow group members, using tools such as Dovetail and SPSS to analyze results 

 

Strategic Communication Ethics and Law, MS                          

January 2024-April 2024

  • Conducted a workshop with one fellow student surrounding the importance of disclosing partnerships with brands for social media influencers

  • Created deliverables such as a three-page content and approach formula, a seven-page lesson plan, a reference document, and a nineteen-slide presentation with fellow group member 

  • Administered a 40-minute presentation discussing the legal and ethical importances of disclosing partnerships on social media emphasizing FTC regulations and both care and Kantian ethical philosophies
